Carclew Boundary Fence Repairs
The Brimblecombe Builders Team was selected to work on much needed repairs and maintenance to the Carclew boundary fence. Carclew is a Federation style house now repurposed from a graceful home dating from the late 1890's to a multipurpose venue.
The work included the removal of a large plane tree near the wall, reducing ground levels near the internal face of the wall, and new landscaping and retaining treatments were needed. Modifications were made to the irrigation system near the wall and a chemical damp proof course was installed along the external wall and pillars on Jeffcott Street.
The stone work also needed attention with poultice applied where deterioration required it plus repointing. Some stonework was replaced. Some sections of the brick pillars were rebuilt and also repointed.
The gates - main entry gates, driveway gates and pedestrian gates - were removed, grit blasted and painted, and reinstalled, and the steel supports for the driveway gates were modified.
